REBECCA TUCKER was born in Tampa, FL, though she grew up on the outskirts of D.C., having been adopted at seven weeks old. In 1987, she came out at the ripe old age of 14 and jumped feet first into the world of street activism, fighting for AIDS funding and civil rights, even managing to get arrested at a Gulf War protest in front of the White House.

She earned a BA in English, as well as a BS in Operational Meteorology, and now splits her time between writing fiction and working as a global marketing director for a research and consulting firm. Prior to her current work, Rebecca also worked as a bookstore manager for over a decade, a script ghost writer and reader for a film production company, a security guard, a baker, and a copywriter, to name just a few!

When she’s not at her desk, she is busy pursuing numerous geeky hobbies (that she rotates every few months to fit them in), such as astronomy, rockhounding, fossil hunting, and fostering kittens. She lives in South Central Texas with her wife of 21 years, two dogs, and a few cats, the true number of which she will never reveal.
