REBECCA TUCKER was born in Tampa, FL, though she grew up on the outskirts of D.C., having been adopted as a baby. In 1987, she came out at the ripe old age of 14 and jumped feet first into the world of street activism.

She earned a BA in English, as well as a BS in Operational Meteorology and now splits her time between writing fiction and working as a marketing director for an international research and consulting firm.

When she’s not at her desk, she is busy pursuing numerous geeky hobbies such as astronomy, rockhounding, fossil hunting, and fostering kittens. She lives in South Central Texas with her wife of 23 years, two dogs, and a few cats, the true number of which she will never reveal.
